Bathroom Interior: Away from the Wall!

The future of the bathroom is in the way it interacts with its setting. This refers not so much to stylistic categories, such as ‘Country House Bathroom’, ‘Urban Style’ or ‘Retro-Chic’, but to different room concepts. The decisive question for house owners and bathroom planners is no longer how to furnish the room but how the room is seen in spatial terms and split into functional parts. Not only interior designers but also the industry will adopt a new approach because the emphasis will no longer be on developing classic bathroom furnishings but on the room itself.

Easy Bathroom: It couldn’t be easier!

In the future, a bathroom will have to take account of the expectations and needs of completely different users. This is the idea of the pan-generation ‘Easy Bathroom’, a simple, practical and timelessly attractive room for everyone, from the young to old people who do not feel old. Handicaps, no matter what kind, should not be a primary consideration when planning a bathroom. Instead, it is important to leave out everything that could discriminate against the individual. The art is to reduce everything to the basics.

Green Bathroom: Back to Nature!

The way to a sustainable bathroom is via highly-complex products and technologies. The Green Bathroom is a future-oriented concept that perfectly combines water and energy-saving products, environmentally-friendly industrial production, the use of sustainable materials and timeless design. The trend towards the Green Bathroom is driven from two sides – on the one hand, by a general yearning for the most natural possible bathroom experience and, on the other hand, by rational need. Today, the aim is no longer just to keep costs in check through the use of water-saving aerators. Today, people are very well aware of the dangers of climate change caused by excessive CO2-emissions, and they are also coming to realise that not only are energy costs rising but also that our reserves of fossil fuels are coming to an end.
