19.10.2016 ISH 2017 is the Number 1: all market leaders on board again

‘Water. Energy. Life.’ motto sums up the main themes of the fair in a nutshell

Choice of Turkey as Partner Country reflects growing significance at ISH

ISH 2017 will once again be the Number 1 in the sector and, even at this early stage, is already underscoring its significance as the world’s leading trade fair with some impressive figures for both exhibitors and visitors. As in the past, more than 2,400 exhibitors, including all market and technology leaders, will launch their latest products onto the world market at ISH in Frankfurt am Main from 14 to 18 March 2017. Moreover, ISH also plays a leading role because it is the world’s most international meeting place for the sector – in 2015, 61 percent of exhibitors and 39 percent of visitors coming from outside Germany.

The motto of ISH 2017 is ‘Water. Energy. Life.’, which shows clearly where the focus of the world’s leading trade fair is and, in particular, where the keystones are located. With its broad spectrum of future-oriented building-services technology, the biennial trade fair offers a host of solutions meeting current political and economic demands.

The ISH Water section focuses on sustainable sanitation and innovative bathroom design and, in 2017, will be held under motto ‘Bathrooms for People’ whereby particular attention will be paid to different aspects, such as design, health, wellness and comfort, as well as resource conservation and drinking-water hygiene. Exhibitors in this section present environmentally-friendly, design-oriented bathroom solutions revolving around not only the latest design developments but also sustainable technology meeting modern needs.

In the ISH Energy and Aircontec section, the emphasis is primarily on energy efficiency and comfort in buildings. The decisive trends are to be found in the field of efficient, future-oriented technologies and intelligent building-services technology. Basically, the focus will be on the merger of heat and renewable energies. However, digital heating systems and the associated integration of IT into innovative heating technologies will also be an important theme – all brought together under the slogan ‘The energy revolution with a bright future – we have the solutions’ so that visitors will be able to see the complete spectrum of innovative building-system technology.

In the field of Aircontec, the focal points will include modern homeventilation systems, which embraces the subjects of energy efficiency and comfort in the home, as well as central and decentral solutions for new buildings and modernisation projects. Additionally, attention will also be paid to the technological challenges facing the air-conditioning and
ventilation fields.

At the end of June 2015, Turkey was unanimously chosen as the Partner Country of ISH 2017 by the organiser, Messe Frankfurt, and the ISH conceptual partners. “With this decision, we have taken account of the increasing significance of Turkey at ISH on both the exhibitor and visitor sides”, says Wolfgang Marzin, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Messe Frankfurt. Five percent of Turkish exports come from the sanitation, heating and air-conditioning sector. The international desire to achieve climate targets and the strategic significance of energy autarky are just two reasons for a strong market.

In addition to the world’s leading trade fair for the sector, ISH in Frankfurt am Main, the ISH brand is also well represented internationally:

  • ISH India powered by IPA, Delhi:
    23 to 25 February 2017 (première)
