Almost every manufacturing company depends on the supply of industrial heat to generate steam and hot water or to operate kilns and drying plants. Process heat has therefore long since become a significant cost factor for many companies. At the same time, about 80 % of the firing systems in Germany are more than ten years old and no longer correspond to the current state of the art. By modernising the energy efficiency of these 250,000 outdated systems, the German economy could save considerable amounts of oil and gas and thus considerable costs.
