CVT8-Y 8-16 HP VRF units with R-32 refrigerant

Frankfurt, 17th March 2025 - With the new CVT8-Y units, presented as a preview and operating with R-32 refrigerant, Clivet continues its commitment to developing air conditioning systems with reduced environmental impact. These VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) units, featuring vertical air discharge, offer a capacity between 8 and 16 HP. They inherit and improve the already excellent features of the previous series (which use R410A refrigerant), confirming their position at the top of the sector.

Main features of the CVT8-Y units:

● new SafeBox 2.0: offers greater protection for the electronic boards, reaching IP67 protection rating

● EasyCom 2.0 protocol: improves electromagnetic noise resistance and increases the number of connectable indoor units

● Best performance indexes: offer average energy saving of 12% compared to units with R410A

Distinctive features of the CVT8 series

● EVI vapour injection inverter Scroll compressor: ensures high performance even at low temperatures

● Multisensor: constantly monitors the system to ensure reliability and comfort

● EMS 2.0: advanced algorithm for optimising energy efficiency.

To overcome the limits imposed by the use of A2L gases, such as R32, this series introduces special boxes equipped with shut-off valves that reduce the releasable charge of the refrigerant. This allows VRF systems to be practically installed with no constraints on minimum room areas. The new outdoor units are compatible with the V8 control platform and allow complete local and remote control of system operation. Existing indoor units are already compatible with these new models thanks to their multi-refrigerant capability.
