This innovative product is distinguished by its many functions. In addition to supplying pre-mixed water up to three separate channels, each volume flow can be controlled directly, and the complete unit can be shut off.

This function is especially suitable for use in thermostatic faucets. In this way, it is not necessary to have the standard central diverter fitted in the faucet, and the Motion can be used in place of the ceramic headwork.

How the Motion functions

The pre-mixed water flows into the side openings of the Motion. The water outlets are fitted in the baseplate.

Models with two outlets are available in sizes of25, 29 and 33mm. In these diverters' initial position, one outlet is fully open. In this type, turning the spindle 90° shuts off the outlet and no water flows. In this position, the type without a shut-off function allows a reduced through-flow from both channels.

Turning the spindle another 90° opens the other outlet completely.

Models with three outlets are available with a diameter of 33mm.

This is why Flühs’ Lifetime is the only ceramic headwork which does not require grease to lubricate the ceramic sealing disks. Almost all manufacturers of quality brand-name faucets use the internationally acclaimed and tried-and-tested Lifetime headworks. The turning ranges are 90°, 180° and 270°.

Flühs Lifetime headworks are manufactured in standard sizes 3/8", 1/2", 3/4" and 5/8", and other requested connection thread sizes. In recent years, several hundred different headwork models have been developed and manufactured, giving the designers and technicians in the faucet industry even more design opportunities.

How the Lifetime functions

Turning the spindle moves the upper ceramic control disk in such a way that the openings of the inlet disk are blocked or are released to allow water to flow.

The turning angle of the spindle is limited to a 1/4, 1/2 or 3/4 turn by an internal metal stop. Even after many years of use, the stability of this stop prevents the wear and tear which otherwise occurs.

Connection to the faucet seat takes place via a lip-seal which also plays its part in the sealing function when the Lifetime is closed.

The Flühs thermostatic valve is a product which stands out from competing products thanks to its new construction and the use of high-quality components and precision turned parts made of special brass.

The Thermostar can be used in both traditional thermostatic faucets and shower panels.

As the most up-to-date generation of thermoelements and extremely narrow tolerances are used for the components, the Thermostar guarantees a constant water temperature with a high reaction speed.

The patented differential drive is used in the upper control unit and prevents automatic operation of the thermostatic valve caused by fluctuations in pressure

In addition, the patented emergency control permits manual operation of the Thermostar even in the event of failure of the thermoelement.

If the cold water inflow fails, the Thermostar is automatically switched off by means of the scald protection device.

How the Thermostar functions

The basic task of the Thermostar is to compensate for variations in temperature and pressure in the cold or warm water inflow at a preset temperature in order to maintain a constant temperature.

For this purpose, the Thermostar contains a thermoelement which contracts if the temperature falls and expands if it rises. This thermoelement is filled with a special wax.

The thermoelement is fitted in the middle of the Thermostar, and mixed water constantly flows around it when it is in use.

This element is connected to a plunger which, as the thermoelement moves, controls the flow of hot and cold water. If the mixed water is too hot, more cold water is added, and vice versa. The spindle of the Thermostar is moved via the handle in order to set the required temperature of the mixed water. In turn, this is part of the differential drive which activates the plunger via a cylinder.

Turning the spindle to the right makes the setting colder, and turning it to the left increases the temperature of the mixed water.

The thermoelement and plunger are mounted dynamically between two high-precision springs.

The use of ring sieves made of high-alloy stainless steel prevents particles of dirt penetrating the Thermostar together with the incoming water and resulting in a malfunction.

The Progressive represents a new type of efficient energy-saving single-handle faucet. In particular, it is the compact design which stands out. The Progressive sets new standards with a diameter of 25, 29 or 33 mm and previously unattained ease of operation.

When the Progressive is turned on, at first only cold water comes out. This avoids the problem of wasted hot water which occurs with traditional single-lever cartridges.

In addition, the easy operation and movement makes it possible to use small, attractive faucet handles. From the aspect of its overall design, a single handle faucet equipped with the Progressive fits seamlessly into the product line of two-handle faucets. The advantage of this design is further enhanced by its small diameter.

How the Progressiv functions

When the spindle is turned clockwise, the Progressive opens the volume flow of cold water. Turning the spindle further activates the mixing process by adding hot water. At the end of the turning area, only hot water flows.

The Progressive's shut-off function always takes place via the original starting position.

Single lever cartridges are designed for the application in single-lever mixing faucets acting both as control and adjusting unit.

This kind of faucet is operated by a handle which is placed either on top or the side of the faucet’s body. Hot and cold water are being mixed inside the cartridge before exiting through the outlet.

The cartridge‘s ease of movement determines the faucet‘s ease of operation. In order to achieve this over a long period of time, it is necessary to use high-quality ceramic disks and appropriate components.

A high level of handling comfort is achieved by Promix due to its high flow rate and its large operating angle, which ensures a precise setting of the selected temperature.

This item is available in various versions, such as Promix 25, Promix 35 and Promix 40. Special designs with water saving or temperature restricting features can be supplied, too.

How the Promix functions

Water temperature and volume are both regulated by Promix at the same time, as the faucet’s handle is connected to the spindle within the cartridge. The adjustment of the water volume can be set simultaneously (handle:up or down) along with the setting of the water temperature (handle: right turn for cold, left turn for hot).

The base plate of Promix shows three openings, two of which convey inflowing cold and hot water, whereas the third opening provides the outflowing mixed water.

Among other things, Promix features two wear-free ceramic disks on the inside.

Regarding the openings, the inlet disk shows the same geometry as the base plate, and it is fixed inside the housing of Promix. An adapter connects the spindle with the ceramic control disk. This control disk and its mixing chamber direct the in- and outflowing water through the respective openings of the inlet disk.
