The TwinXPlate by HOWATHERM system is an innovative new development that significantly reduces operating costs. By using the plate heat exchangers along the air flow, the length of the air handling unit is defined by the length of the heat exchanger and not by its cross section.

Until now, the use of the EcoFin louvre in HOWATHERM air handling units has already offered a specific performance increase of 27% compared to heat exchangers with conventionally designed fins. The heat exchanger delivered either a significantly higher performance or could be smaller dimensions with the same power.

With the now implemented evolution of the EcoFin+ system, the pressure losses of the heat exchangers can now be reduced by 45% through the use of streamlined pipes. This has an especially significant effect on the use of the circulatory system, since the pressure losses there can easily be 250 Pa. With EcoFin+, the pressure losses can be reduced to less than 150 Pa with unchanged thermal properties.
