Über uns

As one of the leading suppliers of pumps and pump systems, Grundfos is represented by more than 80 companies worldwide. In addition, regional and local representatives complement the sales and service organization. Headquartered in Bjerringbro, Denmark, the company employs more than 20,000 people who produce more than 16 million pumps annually. The sales headquarters for Germany, with around 360 employees, is based in Erkrath, while sales throughout Germany are organized in branches close to the customers.

In building services engineering, Grundfos is a full-range supplier of pumps for heating, air conditioning and ventilation as well as water supply, pressure boosting, drainage and waste water transportation. As the global market leader for heating circulation pumps, Grundfos has played a key role in the development of self-regulating and therefore energy-saving high-efficiency heating pumps. Today there are state-of-the-art circulation pumps for single and multi-family homes. From cellar drainage pumps and lifting units to cutting wheel pumps, Grundfos also presents itself as a competent full-service provider for wastewater and sewage disposal around buildings - from single-family homes to the largest properties.

The Industrial Division covers numerous industries. The broad product portfolio includes pumps for secondary processes in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, automotive, cooling and temperature control, water treatment and numerous other applications.

For the water industry, Grundfos offers products for the entire water cycle, from submersible pumps for groundwater pumping, pressure boosting systems and pumps for water distribution, to sewage pumps and lifting units, agitators for sewage treatment plants and pressure modules for water treatment. A particular focus is on the purification and treatment of conventional wastewater, industrial wastewater and seawater. For the production and supply of drinking water, there are also systems for operation with solar and wind energy.

In all areas, the focus is on developing energy-saving and resource-conserving solutions. Since on average 85 % of the life cycle costs (LCC) of a pump system are caused by energy costs, practical experience shows that pump systems installed in existing systems often offer considerable savings potential.

Grundfos joined the UN “Global Compact” initiative in 2002: A strategic initiative for companies that commit to aligning their business activities and strategies with ten universally recognized principles in the areas of human rights, labour standards, environmental protection and anti-corruption.

The UN has formulated 17 goals for sustainable development. As one of the world's leading suppliers of pumps, the Grundfos Group pays particular attention to Goals 6 and 13. Goal 6 is about providing clean water and sanitation and Goal 13 is about combating climate change.
