For the first time, EXHAUSTO is presenting the variable air volume controller EX VAV at ISH 2025. This comprehensive product series is ideal for demand-controlled airflow regulation in ventilation and air conditioning systems. The primary applications include office buildings, hotels, and schools, where both high energy efficiency and demand-based air volume control are essential. By precisely adjusting the ventilation requirements to occupancy and utilization in different rooms, the system not only ensures energy savings but also creates a healthy indoor climate.

Starting in May 2025, the EX VAV series will be available for order, marking the next step for EXHAUSTO in becoming a full-service provider of ventilation systems for both new construction and modernization projects. The new series stands out with its precise measurement technology and demand-based control, ensuring maximum user-friendliness. Its smart design allows for easy installation and enables quiet operation.

Two Variants

The EX VAV series is available in two designs: round and rectangular. Both variants come in standard and insulated versions.

• The round version is available in seven standard diameters, ranging from DN 100 to DN 400 mm.
• The rectangular version offers a wide range of sizes, with the standard version available in 48 different dimensions. The size spectrum ranges from 200 mm (width) x 100 mm (height) to 1,000 mm x 1,000 mm.

EXHAUSTO introduces a new variant within its TWISTED® swirl diffuser series, which was launched two years ago: the TWISTED® Circular Design swirl diffuser. This ceiling air diffuser is designed for both supply and exhaust air in a circular shape, suitable for exposed installation or integration into gypsum ceilings.

With a diameter of 555 mm and a capacity range of 150 – 650 m³/h, it is ideal for applications such as offices, retail spaces, restaurants, educational institutions, or reception halls. Thanks to the Coanda effect, the TWISTED® Circular Design swirl diffuser ensures rapid mixing of supply air and room air without creating uncomfortable air velocities in the space. The result is a uniform room temperature and a pleasant indoor climate.

Like all swirl diffusers in this series, the new TWISTED® Circular Design utilizes a patented swirl generation process within the plenum box. This technology introduces air in a vortex motion into the room, eliminating the need for visually disruptive air deflection elements and reducing adjustment efforts during installation. Additionally, the surface of the diffuser is smooth, hygienic, and easy to clean, meeting the VDI 6022 hygiene standard.

The high technical and comfort standards are complemented by an elegant design, providing planners with creative flexibility. With AldesArchitect®, each TWISTED® swirl diffuser can be customized with natural stone or metallic finishes. In addition to the standard version in powder-coated steel (RAL 9010, 30% matte finish), additional RAL color options are available. The plenum box features a DN200 connection and can be color-matched for exposed installations. This customizable color scheme allows the TWISTED® Circular Design swirl diffuser to seamlessly blend into any project, either as a subtle architectural element or a striking design feature.

Like all EXHAUSTO air diffusers, the TWISTED® Circular Design can be selected using the Selector Koanda 3D configuration software. This tool facilitates comprehensive project management, especially in larger buildings, by providing professional 3D visualization of airflow, including actual velocity and temperature, and automatically calculating comfort parameters to support planning.
