Description

Corrosion proofing insulating bands for the protection of underground and aerial mains or pipes.
Paraffinic, dielectric with a polyethylene film on one side.

APPLICATIONS:
To be used whenever pipes have to be protected by corrosion due to atmospheric, chemical,
environmental agents. Suitable also for the protection from stray currents of metal surfaces, for the
outer binding of tanks, underground, aerial and underwater mains or pipes. The band represents an
excellent steam barrier and thanks to its chemical inertia it is a good protection from the above
mentioned agents, too.
Paratex band has a quite total application versatily since it can be used in those points impossible
to reach, as for example curves, valves etc.

COMPOSITION:
Synthetic fibre fabric, that can not be altered by soil chemical, bacteriologic and mycotic agents;
it is impregnated with a corrosion proofing paste based on paraffinic hydrocarbons specially
treated and charged.

CHARACTERISTICS:
Once it has been applied, it keeps its plasticity and inalterability. It is waterproof (saline water too),
gasproof and it can be used at a temperature ranging from -50 °C to +50 °C.

COMPATIBILITY OF MATERIALS:
Paratex tape, thanks to its composition based on paraffin hydrocarbons is chemically inert and
therefore compatible with all materials used in buildings of all types including metal and plastic
polymers like PE, PP, PES, PVC, ABS, PU.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
Wind up the band overlapping 10/15 mm two following turns, then wear a glove for cold levelling
off, to obtain an homogeneous and flat surface. On rusted or irregular surfaces it is recommended
an accurate cleaning with a hard brush.

Four-X One Shot

It is a unique concentrated product with 4 functions. It has a disintegrating action for sludge and slurries and also exerts a protective antiscale action in the presence of hard water, providing anticorrosive protection toward all constituent metals in systems, particularly aluminum and its alloys. It is also formulated with a powerful broad-spectrum biocide that can inhibit algal growth in low-temperature systems (e.g., radiant floors). The overall action is sanitizing and does not need to be flushed when used properly in conjunction with appropriate MAGNEX series magnetic defangment filter.

EFFECTIVENESS:
1. Restorative: breaks down and disperses any type of fouling present in thermal and refrigerant circuits, whether inorganic (rust, limestone, magnetite, machining residues, etc.) or organic (algae, biofilm, bacteria, etc.) in nature.
2. Antiscalant: the sequestering active ingredients in the formulation make it possible to keep calcium and magnesium salts dissolved in water in dispersion, thus preventing the precipitation of lime scale within the circuit as well as guaranteeing over time the correct heat exchange capacity of the system, preserving the system itself from possible occlusions and keeping consumption to a minimum.
3. Anticorrosive: the presence of a broad package of inhibitors formulated on the basis of azoles and molybdates allows the product to exert a prolonged anticorrosive action (even years after loading) toward all metals constituting the systems, particularly toward amphoteric metals such as aluminum and light alloys (aluminum-silicon).
4. Antibacterial: the broad-spectrum biocide present in the formulation, in addition to performing a preservative function of the product itself, makes it possible to preserve circuits running at low temperatures (30 ÷ 40 °C e.g., radiant floors, geothermal and refrigerants), from algal/bacterial proliferation resulting in algae stratification therefore cold areas in the house as well as higher energy consumption.

METHOD OF USE:
The product is recommended on medium-lived, even dated, but NOT compromised systems, in conjunction with a magnetic filter-deflector to be installed on the return to the boiler. Load directly from the filter, or via Disiflux sanitizing pump or an easy entry point of the system, at the rate of 0.5 %, i.e. 1 liter for every 200 liters of liquid circulating in the system. Periodic cleaning of the sludge-magnetic filter will be necessary and will depend on the amount of sludge in the circuit. Indicatively, a filter cleaning is recommended a few days after the product has been placed in the circuit, then 10 to 15 days apart, and then after more 30 gg repeating the operation for a few months. The amount of sequestered sludge as well as the turbidity of the water itself will tend to improve gradually after each inspection. Please consult Facot Chemicals Technical Department for more information and follow the requirements of UNI 8065:2019 for subsequent controls.
