The RTB valve is a thermostatic return temperature limiter with adjustable maximum temperature and fixed minimum flow in the range of 0.5% of nominal flow. The flow rate is adapted to the actual output and the heating circuit is automatically hydraulically balanced, eliminating the need for manual adjustment. In addition, the heating time after the night setback is shortened. In addition, the RTB valve can be used as an individual room control with an adapted heating curve by setting the return flow temperature close to the room temperature. Furthermore, significantly less pump energy is consumed due to lower volume flows. As a practical application of such valves, we recommend mounting them directly on the return collector of commercially available underfloor heating circuit manifolds.

The RTB DN15 T0-40 balancing valve (wheel) is a thermostatic return temperature limiter with adjustable maximum temperature between 0°C and 40°C and without minimum flow.

The flow rate is thus automatically adjusted to the actual heat output and the heating circuit is thus automatically hydraulically balanced, eliminating the need for manual adjustment. In addition, the heating-up time after the night setback is shortened. Opening and closing during control operation prevents the valve from becoming clogged with particles in the heating water. The room temperature is still controlled by the room thermostatic valve, but the flow is limited by the RTB valve. Furthermore, significantly less pump energy is consumed due to lower flow rates. As a practical application of such valves, we recommend installing them instead of the return screw connection of commercial radiators.
