New cost-saving method for cooling data centers without additional mechanical cooling

The CrossXflow by HOWATHERM system significantly reduces data center operating costs. It uses the outside air as a temperature sink with direct and indirect free cooling.

By means of a performance-enhanced indirect evaporative cooling and a new, space-saving arrangement of the heat exchangers, a supply air temperature of 20 ° C is achieved even with an outdoor air condition of 32 ° C and 40% and an exhaust air condition of 35 ° C and 30%. This eliminates the need for additional refrigeration even in high summer.
