If heat source energy production is not always in the same capacity and efficiency (such as Heat Pump, Solar Energy, Solid Fuel Boilers) or there is daily differences in heat consumption (typical house heating) or if there is a big difference between the minimum heat produced and the minimum heat consumed, there is a need for an energy pool between the heat source and the heat consumption units. Buffer tanks meet these needs.By decreasing the number of start / stop of the system, Buffer Tanks increase system efficiency by preventing both system life and efficiency losses during stop.Buffer tanks are designed to increase system efficiency and life, ensure system safety and provide additional energy storage to the system.

Designed for solar energy systems. In virtue of the double wall in the outer part of the main body the heat energy obtained from all kinds of solar collector systems transferred by the closed circuit- indirect heat transfer systems. Since it has less counter pressure in the primary circuit than the KSS type, no need a pump at the primary circuit. Since it is indirect and closed circuit systems, it has possibility of usage with antifreeze (max 50%) admixture in areas with frost hazard.

KODFLAT722 Series Heat Interface Units is the most compact solution, operating with district heating systems that require high static pressures and thermal medium temperatures.

The primary and secondary circuits are completely separate; no mixing and contamination are allowed. KODFLAT722 is useful when desingning or redesigning the heating and domestic hot water systems  of apartment buldings under renovation, as well as facilitating any maintenance required  in the individual dwellings.
