The photovoltaic-thermal (PVT) hybrid module PX-1 supplies electricity and source heat for brine heat pumps. It can be used monovalently (as sole heat source) and bivalently (combined heat source, e.g. with geothermal probes). Unlike common PV modules, the PX-1 hybrid module achieves an overall efficiency of over 80 percent.
