VALROM VALWater PE100-RC multilayer drinking water pipes
Description
Materials: pressure pipe made of PE100-RC (Resistant to Cracks) with an additional external protective layer of thermoplastic material.
Reference standards: EN 12201-2 Annex C - Pipes with peelable layer, PAS 1075 Type 3
Area of use: drinking water networks under pressure, for open trench installation with and without sand bedding, for alternative installation techniques (horizontal directional drilling, relining etc.).
VALROM VALWater multilayer variants, a new generation of HDPE pipes for drinking water networks, has been designed for better handling, storage and installation and lower costs related to these operations. The PE100-RC pipe complies to EN 12201-2, and the additional external protective layer is applied in the extrusion stage (co-extrusion) to protect the pipe from mechanical damage and UV radiation. Due to the high resistance of the PE 100-RC-material to stress cracks, a protective pipe bed zone of sand can be avoided without any loss of safety or durability. The VALROM VALWater multilayer variants is suitable for open trench installation with and without sandbed as well as installation by ploughing and milling.
The metal or stainless-steel wire then can be placed under the protective layer offers the possibility to detect the buried pipe by using a metal detector.
Range: nominal diameter OD 32 ÷ 1,200 mm; SDR 7.4 ÷ 26 (others by request)
