HYDRA® Heat exchangers with corrugated stainless steel tubing

HYDRA® Heat exchangers with corrugated stainless steel tubing

Description

More performance in less space

Compared to conventional, flat-surface designed models, the corrugated hoses offer a significantly enlarged surface with up to 50 % more performance and corresponding high efficiency. Such high-performance, compact and light exchangers can be installed even in very confined spaces.

Temperature transfer due to optimised flow

The corrugations cause a turbulent flow inside the hose, which has an intensifying effect on the heat transfer. In contrastto laminar flow, a mixing of the temperature layers takes place and the fl ow speed decreases in the middle of the hose. Both effects increase the heat exchange performance signifi cantly.

Targeted turbulences for preventing deposits

Targeted turbulences result from the corrugated profile, which evenly mixes the fl owing medium. As a result, calcium deposits are prevented, which enables constant performance throughout the entire service life.

Client-specific designs

As a manufacturer, Witzenmann is able to design and manufacture coiled hoses and housings as a system. The systems are customised to meet the most varied customer requirements and applications. The heat exchangers are scalable in length and can be fitted with metal or plastic housings as well as with the most varied connections.

Residential Building Ventilation

Residential Building Ventilation

Modern buildings which are equipped with efficient energy generators and automatic control engineering require controlled room air ventilation due to the high tightness of the construction. This enables targeted air exchange in living areas to guarantee comfort and well-being and extract energy from the exchanged room air.

Flat Duct System

The small duct component program enables flexible, space-saving assembly in walls, floors, and ceilings. The range of dimensions and designs has been selected so that very good adjustment to the required air volumes is obtained and zeta values/current losses are as low as possible.

  • galvanised steel plate
  • stainless steel and aluminium upon request
  • dimensions from 40/100 mm to 80/200 mm
  • lengths 1,000 mm to 2,000 mm
  • sealed designs possible
  • certified in accordance with VDI 6022

Components for flexible pipework

Our components for flexible pipework offer an ideal solution for combining all common duct systems. The self-sealing connecting pieces allow fast and easy assembly of flexible pipes without requiring any additional sealing by means of gaskets.

  • galvanised steel plate
  • stainless steel and aluminium upon request
  • standard dimensions from DN 80 to DN 355
  • flat duct dimensions from 40/100 mm to 80/200 mm
  • connection for flexible pipes DN 63 to DN 75
  • certified in accordance with VDI 6022

Ventilation pipes and fittings

Our round ventilation system enables the robust and reliable exchange of supply, exhaust and fresh air. They thus ensure optimal air circulation in business, manufacturing and work halls.

  • Galvanized steel sheet
  • Stainless steel on request
  • Dimensions: DN 80 - DN 355
  • Spiral ducts up to 3m in length

HYDRA® corrugated Hoses and Stripwound Hoses

HYDRA® corrugated hoses

HYDRA® corrugated hoses are formed from seamless or longitudinally welded tubes and are available in a large variety of wall thicknesses, material types, and assembled configurations. They are typically used to provide leak tight connections when conveying fluids / gases either under positive pressure or vacuum. Metal hoses are used to absorb and compensate for static misalignment, dynamic motion, thermal expansion and vibration within pipe systems.

HYDRA® stripwound hoses

HYDRA® stripwound hoses are produced in a continuous process by profiling and winding of a metal strip on to a mandrel. Based on the low degree of process deformation, Stripwound hoses can also be made from a wide range of austenitic, ferritic & non-ferrous materials. Standard materials include stainless steel, zinc plated steel, and brass. Products are also available with additional protective coatings including chromium or nickel.

HYDRA® Corrugated Hoses

Corrugated hoses are manufactured from various materials with a corrugated profile. They are available for diameters ranging from DN 6 to DN 300, up to PN 250 (depending on nominal diameter) and for temperatures ranging from -270 °C up to max. 600 °C.

HYDRA Stripwound Hoses

Primary features of Stripwound hoses include their good flexibility, high resistance to both tensile / crush loads in addition to their basic chemical and thermal stability.

Stripwound hoses are used across wide range of industry sectors that include the measurement and control, communication, medical sectors.
