Rooftop units

Description

Ventilation and Air Conditioning Units as Rooftop Systems

As one of the leading companies in the development and production of ventilation and air conditioning units, Heber also manufactures its products as rooftop systems. These so-called outdoor units are exposed to wind and weather while housing valuable components, which requires special protection. At Heber, we apply our full expertise and attention to detail in the design of rooftop and base points for ventilation and air conditioning units as rooftop systems.

For example, the roof is always constructed as a cold roof (without adhesive membranes) and made from galvanized steel. A substructure tailored to the size of the unit ensures proper ventilation and slope.

Hygiene / Cleanroom

Ventilation and Air Handling Units in Hygienic Design

Professional climate control is essential for creating a comfortable indoor environment in both commercial and private settings. It is also a vital component of technical systems in buildings where people are present. Particularly in healthcare facilities, pharmaceutical environments, and laboratories, there are special requirements for ventilation and air conditioning technology.

At Heber, we develop ventilation and air conditioning units in hygienic design that meet the highest hygiene standards while ensuring an optimal and healthy indoor climate. Our products effectively prevent the spread of germs, inhibit mold formation, and reduce CO₂ levels in buildings and spaces within the healthcare sector.

Heber’s ventilation and air conditioning units in hygienic design are tested and certified according to the hygiene-related requirements of the following standards:
DIN 1946-4, VDI 6022, EN 1886, and EN 13053.

All components of our products are based on current hygiene technology standards and can be perfectly adapted to their specific applications, such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, laboratories, and more.

Ventilation and Air Conditioning Units for Cleanrooms

Cleanrooms impose strict demands on the ventilation and air conditioning technology used. Among other requirements, a constant air pressure within the cleanroom cell and air quality that complies with the respective cleanroom class are essential. Air constancy is one of the most critical factors in cleanrooms.

Only when the combination of airflow, humidity, air pressure, and room temperature is perfectly balanced can the different cleanroom classes be achieved. These classes are crucial for the entire production chain, such as in the pharmaceutical industry or manufacturing facilities for electronic components. Even the smallest contamination can lead to production failures and, consequently, significant costs.

Heber’s ventilation and air conditioning units meet the unique requirements for cleanroom applications. Thanks to high-quality craftsmanship and TÜV-tested housings for tightness and stability, our units deliver the exceptional Heber quality required to ensure constant air quality in cleanrooms.

Ventilation and air handling units in frame construction

The majority of our development and research efforts focus on the production and optimization of ventilation and air conditioning units with frame construction. At Heber, we have successfully created galvanized and insulated hollow frame profiles connected with aluminum die-cast corners to form exceptionally stable unit sections, which are bolted externally. Double-walled panels (30–60 mm thick) with appropriate mineral wool insulation are flush-fitted into the frames and secured from the inside.

This results in a product that fully adheres to our principle of a "custom-designed air conditioning unit", as soundproofing and thermal insulation values can be tailored to meet specific requirements or customer preferences.

Our primary focus in ventilation and air conditioning units with frame construction is on stability, which directly correlates with the units' durability.

Data & Facts

At ±1,000 Pa, the stability of frame construction units is classified as mechanical strength according to DIN EN 1886. The highest classification (Class D1) permits a maximum deflection of 4.0 mm/m. The TÜV-measured deflection of our units is 0.6 mm/m, and in overpressure and underpressure conditions, it is as low as 0.1 mm/m.
At Heber, we not only meet standards, but we set them.
