Description

Genuine Wefatherm pipes and fittings are made of virgin material and no recycled material is used. Wefatherm exclusively uses Borealis PP-R For the production of pipes and fittings. This raw material has a state-of-the-art additive package which protects the products against oxidation during manufacturing and during operation, whereas all products have excellent resistance against leaching.

Transition fittings and unions are well known items to connect pipe systems of different materials together. The brass type used for inserts in Wefatherm transition fittings is classified as CW617N (CuZn40Pb2). With Cu, Ni, Pb, Zn elements level below the threshold for the migration in water. This brass type complies to the German and 4MS requirements for water intended for human consumption. The Wefatherm pipe system has been certified by DVGW and carries numerous international recognized approvals.

Wefatherm doesn’t deliver only high-quality fittings for socket welding, but also fittings for butt welding and electrofusion. There is always a suitable solution for any demand.

PP-R & PP-RCT

For decades, polypropylene random copolymer (PP-R) has been applied worldwide successfully for hot and cold water applications. Material properties such as resistance to internal pressure, flexibility and impact have made PP-R the material of choice for a safe and reliable long-lasting installations like hot and cold water distribution, underfloor heating, radiator connections or wall cooling and heating systems.

PP-RCT is the next generation of PP-R raw material. PP-RCT is an abbreviation for Polypropylene Random Copolymer with modified crystalline structure and enhanced temperature performance. The special fine and homogeneous crystal structure of the PP-RCT material improves the mechanical characteristics of the material.

Benefits of PP-RCT

  • Improved stress resistance at elevated temperatures. PP-RCT pipe systems can be operated at higher operating pressures
  • The improved long-term strength of the PP-RCT material leads to a more economic set of dimensions of the pipe system. Where possible, it enables designers to select thinner wall pipes with an increased flow capacity or smaller diameter pipes. Lighter pipe systems are easier and quicker to install
  • The substantially lower material usage provides an additional contribution to the conservation of resources supporting a sustainable environment

Wefatherm Double Union Ball Valve – DUAL BLOCK®

This new ball valve, available in dim. 20 – 63 mm, is a 2-way True Union ball valve with locked carrier, lockable union nuts and female ends for socket welding.

Wefatherm Double union ball valve – DUAL BLOCK® offers a variety of advanced features such as the patented SEAT STOP® carrier, a high-quality stem and ball support system, and a multifunctional locking handle. The patented DUAL BLOCK® system locks the union nuts in a preset position, preventing back-off due to vibration or thermal cycling. Deep grooves, thick O-rings, and cushioned Teflon seats contribute to strong seals.
