Description

The ARI-EURO-WEDI from ARI-Armaturen is a soft-seated shut-off valve with throttle characteristic that releases or shuts off the volume flow in the system. ARI offers the EURO-WEDI in different versions. The flanged design is available in FTF-14 (short design) / FTF-1 (long design) and the threaded design in the length FTF-14 (short design). The material for all versions is grey cast iron (5.1301). The EURO-WEDI, flange connection, is available in pressure ranges PN 6 and 16, threded connection in pressure range PN 16. The nominal diameter are DN15-200 (flange connection), DN15-50 (1/2‘-2’) (threaded connection). The temperature range is from -10°C to +120°C (briefly up to +130°C).

The fully encapsulated EPDM cone has an almost linear flow characteristic (throttle characteristic). Thanks to the self-centring throttling plug (dual function of shutt-off and throttling). The EURO-WEDI is absolutely reliable in terms of tight shut-off (leakage rate A according to DIN EN 12266). Our patented elastic double seal (EDD), combined the stem sealing c/w a scraper. The scraper removes any deposits from the spindle surface and guarantees tightness to athmosphere. In addition the encased EPDM plug relieves the stem seal (back seat) in fully open position.

Thanks to the internal stroke limiter (lower installation height), the locking device, the non-rising handwheel and the position indicator as standard device, the EURO-WEDI achieves ideal handling, even in space limited assembling areas.

The durability of the valve is important for us. When used in cold water/air conditioning systems, the standard insulating cap with dew point barrier protects against condensation and prevents corrosion on the valve (corrosion protection). The standard anti-rotation device (double-guided plug) and the fine-thread stem (slow immersion of the plug towards the seat = gentle on the material) provides a long service life.

Energy efficiency is becoming increasingly important. The ARI-EURO-WEDI can be fully insulated according to the German Building Energy Law (GEG). Further energy and cost savings result from the favourable zeta values (<= 1.2).
