Description
Premix burners covered with metal fibre mesh are tried and proven products for premixed combustion.
The fibre covering guarantees efficient thermal protection for the steel base. This prevents thermal deformations and breaking of the burner, thus upping reliability and lifetime of the component and extending its field of use.
Metal fibre is generally employed in large sized, highly performing burners for high modulations, in which the component is subject to greater thermal stress.
For low thermal loads, combustion occurs on the surface and the metal mesh works in radiant mode.
The fibre burners guarantee excellent flame stability across the entire power range, while observing
the strictest European standards of NOx and CO emissions.
POLIDORO employs a three-dimensional metal mesh structure. The material used for the fibre is a high heat resistant alloy, Fe-Cr-Al, in order to guarantee a long lifetime and high resistance to high temperature corrosion.
