Temperature sensors

Temperature limiters are used to prevent too high temperatures, caused by malfunction or failure of other elements. On reaching the fixed temperature the limiters switch off the circuit. After removing the malfunction you can reset the limiter for finishing your production process under special monitoring. It is like a resettable fuse. Therefore, the user must make a conscious act to make a reset.

• Rated current up to 16A at 230VAC
  5mA up to 200mA at 12VDC
• Approvals: VDE, UL, CSA possible

Thermal protectors are used to prevent an exceeding of a fixed temperature. On reaching the switching-off temperature the integrated bimetal disc snaps and cuts-off or closes the circuit. The difference to the Controller is mainly that the Thermal Protectors have a larger differential. Therefore it needs more time until the automatically reset effects.
