Able to withstand very high (up to 550°C), and very low (-250°C) temperatures, with no negative effect on pressure performance, many of our hoses are manufactured in accordance with ISO 10380 with some holding type approval certification to this standard.

The most commonly available materials are 321 and 316 grades of stainless steel. 321 stainless steel offers superior corrosion performance in a welded assembly compared with 304 stainless steel. 316 stainless steel has added molybdenum for even better corrosion performance in coastal and marine applications for example, the properties of Monel® 400 make it ideally suited to seawater applications and in chlorine transfer. For applications where continuous temperatures greater than 550°C will be encountered, Inconel®625 and Hastelloy®C276 are particularly suitable.

Thanks to the corrugated design, Amnitec corrugated/braided hose has significant anti-collapse strength, making it suitable for submerged applications where external pressure is much greater than internal pressure. Operating prressures can range from full vacuum to more than 800 bar, depending on the size and type selected.

The curvature of helical tubes generates centrifugal forces, producing secondary flows that run perpendicular to the primary flow direction. These secondary flows enhance fluid mixing and improve the overall heat transfer coefficient, resulting in a more efficient process for certain applications.
