Anti-freeze valve for heating/cooling systems with heat pump.

The anti-freeze valve allows to protect the pipes and the heat pump from failures caused by freezing of the water inside them.
In case of shutdown of the system during the winter season, if the water temperature drops down to +3°C, the valve starts to open allowing a discharge, initially modest: the outflow draws the water from the side of the circuit inside the building, having a higher temperature, thus preventing the formation of ice.

If the discharge continues due to cold temperatures, in the absence of a filling group, the internal pressure of the circuit runs out and tends to reach atmospheric pressure, thus making the outflow impossible: a vacuum breaker valve present in the upper part of the valve body intervenes to allow the intake of air, allowing water drainage to continue.
The presence of an automatic circuit filling unit is recommended it which, by restoring the pressure in the circuit, will bring the anti-freeze valve back to normal working conditions and the system will be able to restart autonomously.

Modular Multi-Zone Distribution Box for Heat Pumps and Conventional Heat Generators

The extremely compact design allows up to three circuits to be hydraulically connected within a total width of just 450 mm.

The primary circuit includes two 1” male shut-off valves, a distribution manifold with an integrated hydraulic separator, or a simple manifold for systems up to 50 kW.

The hydraulic separator disconnects the primary circuit from the secondary circuit, enabling greater volumetric circulation of the heat transfer fluid compared to the fluid circulating in the generator.

Special insulation ensures suitability for cooling applications, preventing condensation.

It also includes an air-vent valve and a deaeration chamber. The IP55 junction box simplifies electrical wiring.

The distribution box, powder-coated in white RAL 9010, can be wall-mounted, recessed, or installed inside a hanging cupboard.

The ModvlvS DN25 series includes a complete range that meets all the installation needs with specific models: middle and low temperature heating systems, energy metering, cooling systems; everything with the possibility of a management control by means of climatic controllers even built-in the pump unit. DN25 pump units can be connected to heating systems with powers up to 50 kW, with a very low energy consumption ensured by high efficiency synchronous circulating pumps. The connections to the circuit or to the manifold are made with a 1” female thread. Moreover the pump units of M3 version are equipped with a by-pass balancing valve that allows an accurate regulation of the differential pressure of the circuit. Integrated by-pass

The by-pass integrated into the 3-way mixing valve ensures a recirculation inside the installation, even when the mixing valve is fully open. Through the by-pass, a fixed percent of the mixing can be set, in the case when the flow through the mixing valve is not sufficient. In case of a bad working of the system causing an increase of the temperature of the installation, the recirculation through the by-pass allows a decrease of the water temperature in the underfloor installation, by mixing the warm water of the return circuit with the hot water of the supply circuit, reducing possible damages. M2 MIX33 pump units are supplied with the recirculation by-pass fully open.

System to connect multiple ModvFresh DHW modules in cascade for installations requiring high power and flow rates, or with low-medium temperature heat sources (heat pumps).

ModvFresh Kascata is an innovative control logic that allows multiple standard ModvFresh pump units to be connected in cascade for the production of domestic hot water (DHW), enabling a maximum flow rate and thermal power exchange equal to the sum of the individual modules' performance.
The system is suitable for applications with large buffer tanks connected to solar thermal circuits, heat pumps, biomass boilers, etc., ensuring the production of instantaneous domestic hot water while preventing legionella growth due to stagnation of heated water.
The entire system is managed via a bus connection that links the control units of the individual ModvFresh units. By monitoring the flow rate from the hot water system, the control units activate the necessary DHW modules, controlling the respective actuators on the cold water inlets. This Kascata system proves to be highly flexible and can be designed and built with a modular approach to meet the specific needs of the system.
The control logic thus optimizes operation when combined with low-medium temperature heat sources, such as heat pumps.

ModvFresh cascade connections maximize efficiency by fully utilizing the thermal energy available in the buffer tank. The configuration can be adapted to the project requirements, which typically vary between installations in terms of temperature, storage volume, flow rates, and the required temperature for use.
