About us
wodtke at the ISH 2025
As part of ISH 2025 in Frankfurt, we will be showcasing hybrid solutions for heating with the almost CO₂-neutral fuel wood and wood pellets in energy-efficient fireplaces in the special “Wood Energy” area in Hall 11.0.
Practical “environmental protection at home” - sustainable - economical and ecologically sensible.
wodtke relies on hybrid heating systems
As a pellet pioneer and one of the leading manufacturers of innovative pellet stoves and wood-burning stoves, we offer future-oriented solutions for heating and a feel-good warmth in the home.
Heat and the heating of the future require the interaction of different energies for sustainable heat supply systems. An ideal combination: the heat pump and a wodtke water+ pellet stove with water heat exchanger for connection to the central heating system. In this hybrid heating system, the two heat generators complement each other perfectly and, in view of the shortage of supply, the domestic energy source wood can be seen as an essential part of the solution.
Heating the future: Renewable energies and feel-good warmth at home
From pellet pioneer to solution provider
wodtke is a pioneer in the field of pellet stove technology and a leading manufacturer of innovative heating systems for the living space - pellet stoves, wood-burning stoves and electric heating systems.
wodtke products stand for exclusive design, energy efficiency and sustainability
Back in 1989, wodtke was the first company in Germany to start developing a pellet stove for the home. Our vision was to make the heating market sustainable with the fuel wood pellets - to establish energy-efficient and low-emission heating with the almost CO₂-neutral fuel wood pellets on the market. Today, we see ourselves as a driving force and solution provider in the fields of technology and design for heating with wood and wood pellets.
Feel-good warmth
We always develop with sustainability, comfort and quality of life for people in mind.
The promise of “wodtke feel-good warmth” is only fulfilled when you feel comfortable with our products.
Heating with logs - fire as a cultural asset - feel-good warmth today
The longing for fire and warmth is as old as mankind - over the millennia, all cultures have made fire the center of their lives. We want to preserve this tradition and transfer it to today's living environments.
For us, fire, i.e. heating with wood fuel, means more than just getting the fire going.
Our products stand for innovative technology - focusing on the highest engineering performance, outstanding combustion technology and the conviction that these products make sense for the heating systems of the future. Feeling the comforting warmth and the fire gives people a better quality of life - and has a positive effect on their well-being.
Fire is our passion
Heating with wood pellets - Wood pellets are ecological, regional and stable in price
Wood pellets burn almost CO₂-neutrally. When wood pellets are burned, only the amount of carbon dioxide (CO₂) is released that the tree, i.e. the wood, has absorbed over the course of its life. Heating with wood and wood pellets from sustainable forestry therefore closes the natural CO₂ cycle.
Not all pellets are the same. Good quality contributes significantly to the good functioning of any pellet heating system. Make sure you only use tested pellet qualities.

wodtke pellet stove "ivo.smart" water+
A water-bearing pellet stove has an integrated water heat exchanger that makes it possible to feed the heat generated by burning wood pellets into the heating circuit or central heating system via a buffer tank. Water-bearing pellet stoves therefore heat the installation room and the buffer cylinder at the same time. The stored heat can therefore be called up as required at any time. The fact that only part of the rated output of water-bearing pellet stoves is emitted directly into the room makes them ideal for use in low-energy or passive houses.
In the Stiftung Warentest fireplace and pellet stove test for pellet stoves with water connection, the wodtke ivo.tec water+ water-bearing pellet stove was named the winner of the Stiftung Warentest test - efficiency winner (1.0) overall rating GOOD (1.8) - together with another appliance in the 11/2011 test (19 fireplace and pellet stoves) and now forms the basis for the identical premium model ivo.smart water+ pellet stove.
The water-bearing pellet stoves from wodtke have a very high efficiency of up to over 90% and also develop their full potential in combination with a solar system, a photovoltaic system or a heat pump. From an energy point of view, these very efficient combinations of different energy sources can help to reduce heating costs to a minimum.

wodtke pellet stove "soleo.nrg V12"
Pellet panorama with a fantastic flame pattern and vertical flue pipe connection - ideal for switching stoves from logs to pellets
The combustion chamber of a room air-independent pellet stove with DIBt approval is absolutely airtight. In addition, air-independent pellet stoves have a self-locking combustion chamber door. The oxygen required for a room-air-independent pellet stove is not supplied from the installation room, but via a combustion air supply connected to the outside or via a flue gas/air chimney. A room-air-independent pellet stove with DIBt approval is therefore ideal for installation in very airtight buildings, such as low-energy or passive houses, in combination with a controlled domestic ventilation/ventilation system.
All room-air-independent pellet stoves from wodtke are also approved and certified by the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBt) for room-air-independent operation. These pellet stoves have the so-called building authority approval for room-air-independent operation.
Of course, all room-sealed pellet stoves and wood-burning stoves from wodtke can also be operated as room-air-independent stoves, i.e. without an air supply from outside.
In any case, you should consult your local district chimney sweep right at the start of your planning. Information on whether the pellet stove you want has DIBt approval for room-air-independent operation can be found in the operating instructions for the relevant model.
Further details on operating pellet stoves with an external air supply independently of the ambient air can also be found in the firing regulations of the federal states.
For special safety requirements, such as the simultaneous operation of room air-independent fireplaces for solid fuels and ventilation systems, mixed occupancy, i.e. the operation of a wodtke pellet stove and a fireplace for log wood or lignite briquettes without a fan on one chimney or the multiple occupancy of two wodtke pellet stoves on one chimney, operation can be additionally monitored using a wodtke DS01 differential pressure controller.
