Dualflow Plus hand dryer with brushless motor by Mediclinics: no maintenance needed.
Based on its experience and constant R&D&I work in the hand dryer sector, Mediclinics presents the new Dualflow Plus with brushless motor. This new dryer has been created with the aim of achieving significant maintenance cost savings. Apart from that this dryer offers significant energy cost savings, it is extremely fast, very hygienic and environmentally-friendly as well. The units are made of plastic (ABS), in white, black or satin aluminium finish.
The new Dualflow Plus presents two important improvements. The first one is its new design in the water basin area. This area has been totally redesigned in order to avoid, even more, water from dripping on the floor, so it stays dry, reducing slip hazards.
The other important change applied in the new Dualflow Plus is the motor. Optionally, this dryer can now assemble a brushless DC motor. This motor differs from a conventional DC motor in that it doesn’t contain brushes and the commutation is done using an electronic drive instead of the usual brushes. Some of the advantages of using a brushless motor instead of a brush motor are: long operating life due to a lack of electrical and friction losses, high efficiency and noiseless operation.
This new hand dryer also allows low energy consumption, with energy savings of up to 80% compared to similar dryer models made by the competition. It dries the hands in just 8 seconds, allowing a higher user turnover wherever it is installed, making it the ideal hand dryer for use in areas with a high traffic of people
The new Dualflow Plus hand dryer allows an air output of 410 km/h which, thanks to its four outlets, provides a non-aggressive flow. The speed regulator on the motor helps to reduce consumption and noise level, making it one of the quietest on the market in its segment.
An emphasis on hygiene in the drying process is one of the most noteworthy features of this product. The surface and water tank are coated with Biocote, an antimicrobial and antibacterial protection that inhibits the reproduction of micro-organisms in the product during its entire lifecycle. In addition, the Dualflow Plus is fitted as standard with a cartridge containing a HEPA filter media, that filters out solid particles in suspension and notably improves the air quality.
The filter traps most of the micro-particles in the air, such as: pollen, dust mites, mold, tobacco smoke and even virus and bacteria. Thanks to its high filtering efficiency, the presence of allergens and particles in the bathroom air is notably reduced, improving the air purity. Once more, Mediclinics presents a solution that is not only designed for the buyer (lower energy consumption) but also for the user.
Care for the environment is a hallmark of the Dualflow Plus thanks to its low consumption and low noise level and the fact that it is built using recycled material and automatically shuts off after 30 seconds of continuous use. At the same time, a low consumption heating element of only 400W provides to the user a cool and pleasant hand-drying experience. This heating element is mounted on a mica frame that incorporates a self-resetable thermal cut-off which disconnects the whole appliance. At the same time it can be disconnected by means of an ON/OFF switch.
Mediclinics has come up with a solution that is very easy to maintain: front LEDs for a quick diagnosis of the dryer; optical and acoustic full tank warning, and a tank that can be emptied via an external lower valve, which prevents water from splashing over the edges of the machine and puddles from forming on the floor. The easy removal of the front casing using a safety key gives access to the internal parts that need changing, allowing the filter to be cleaned or replaced simply and practically.
A new optionally feature of the Dualflow Plus is the direct connection to the main waste pipe of the restroom to get rid of the wastewater after hand-washing. With this feature the Dualflow Plus is the first hand dryer in the market that incorporates the best method of water drainage. This connection is carried out thanks to a connection kit, code KITDESM14A, based on a flexible plastic tube and its own fixation mechanism to the hand dryer water basin outlet, that can be easy installed in all Dualflow Plus, already installed or not.
Also, and optionally as well, new Dualflow Plus hand dryer can incorporate an odor neutralizer tablet, which by simply operating the unit will generate a fresh and pleasant environment, thanks to its aromatic and delightful fragrance.
