Purus is included in the BLS Industries, a prominent leader in the plumbing industry. The production is done in-house in Sweden, in two distinct production sites: the Purus Polymer manufacturing unit for plastic products, with injection-moulding and extruding, installation department and development department for floor gullies and indoor waste systems, is located in Ystad, south of Sweden. Purus Stainless in Smålandsstenar is instead the production unit for stainless steel floor gullies and channels, stainless steel sanitaryware and stainless steel interiors.
In order to maintain its position at the leading edge, Purus group believes in being innovative, investing in the latest technology and having a keen awareness of prevailing market trends. FLOOR GULLIES
Floor gully is an important component, which should be included in the bathroom planning right from the outset. When the time comes for a new floor gully, there are numerous options. The design can be rectangular, square or triangular, and you can choose from materials in plastic, stainless steel or cast iron. Make it a stylish component to look at and have it merge in with the rest of the fittings and raise the overall impression of your bathroom.

Purus designed floor gullies are an example of how creativity and design can revolutionise an industry. The technology, quality and functionality included are equally as reliable as in our other floor gullies, but the innovative design provides a more personal touch in the bathroom. Purus designed floor gullies are available in a variety of shapes and colours and offer a high degree of freedom when installing the floor gully.
FLOOR GULLIES & STAINLESS STEEL CHANNELS
Our floor gullies and channels are made of plastic, stainless steel and cast iron and are known for safety, functionality and innovative design. They fit all types of locations where floor drains are needed. We work with a local, customised product line under our own brand name and can offer a wide range of choices, everything from traditional gullies and designed floor gullies to industrial gullies and industrial channels customised for commercial environments.
INDOOR WASTE SYSTEM
Indoor waste and Installation now cover additional products for wetroom installations and are mainly made of plastic or rubber. Examples of these types of products are water traps for wash basin or bathtub, pipes and pipe components, rubber connectors and coulpings, PUM - Purus Universal Membrane, and air admittance valves.
STAINLESS STEEL SANITARYWARE
The Stainless steel sanitaryware category includes toilet seats, urinals, washbasins, bucket sinks, plaster separators, etc. Both standard products and customised products are available. One big advantage is that the products are vandal-proof but also have a thoughtful, modern design.
STAINLESS STEEL INTERIORS
The Stainless steel interiors product area includes wash basins, cabinets, shelving and other fixtures. The products are available both in a standard design as well as in custom designs and are used primarily in private kitchens, large-scale kitchens, hospitals and laboratories.

Our Products
Unique frame with design grates specially designed for microcement
PUM is a product range which offers you new possibilities. Patented technology which sets its own standard. PUM is also type-approved. The PUM works as a mechanical odour trap, using a silicone membrane instead of a water trap. The membrane is always closed, but is opened by the flow of water. The PUM also functions as an air admittance valve if there is negative pressure in the drainage system – it opens and lets air in when necessary.
Install a PUM to make life easier. No more blockages in drains, overflowing water, dried-out water traps or unwanted odours from drains. The PUM is easy to clean - you only have to rinse it under the tap - and it also makes space for other things in the bathroom cabinet. The choice is obvious, we think!

PUM – say goodbye to bad smell with clever odour trap
PUM is short for Purus Universal Membrane, a product range which sets its own standard. The PUM works as a mechanical odour trap, using a silicone membrane instead of a traditional water trap. The membrane opens only by the flow of water, and closes when the flow stops. High quality materials guarantees trouble-free use for many years. Made of two-component silicone, the membrane is resistant to both strong chemicals and high temperatures.
No more dried-out water traps, unwanted odours or overflowing water with minimal maintenance.

PUM washbasin siphons not only effectively block unpleasant odors from the sewage system thanks to the one-way flow. It remains closed when there is no water flow, preventing unwanted odours which otherwise occurs after a long time period of no use.

Thanks to the membrane, the PUM doesn't need a water trap to block bad odors. The silicone membrane closes when the flow stops, and no water trap is needed or takes up space in the bathroom cabinet.

Our stainless steel channel and floor drain range consists of products of the highest quality. We manufacture customized channels and drains according to your measurements and preferences regarding materials, load classes, floor types, etc. Accessories such as sediment traps, strainers, and traps are included in the range.
We also have a stocked standard assortment for quick delivery, including floor channels and drains of various sizes for industrial, workshop, and large kitchen use.
Starting from 1/1 2022, we have chosen to divide our range so that channels, grates, outlet housings, and accessories are combined separately based on your choices and preferences. This allows us to reduce the number of special items and have more items in stock with shorter delivery times.

Floor gully gratings and installation accessories
Purus offers the Nordic market’s widest range of floor drains with accessories. In the range you find strainers in for example grey and black that looks great in most modern flooring.
Purus wants to emphasize that everything is not black or white – the grey area is just as important! This is underlined by the fact that the classic floor gully gratings in the patterns Drop and Art Deco are also offered in a grateful grey colour in various sizes and patterns.
When we started manufacturing matt black gratings in recycled plastic in our Ystad factory a few years ago, we had no idea that demand would increase so significantly. Today, more and more people dare, and want, to take the step away from classic white floor gullies.
Niklas Jönsson, Team Leader for Purus export sales explains:
– We at Purus are proud to be one of Europe’s leading suppliers of floor drains for vinyl flooring in Europe. In dialogue with our customers who produce vinyl floors for bathrooms, hospitals, schools, and other environments, we have chosen to supplement with more plastic gratings in grey and black that match today’s modern vinyl floors. In addition, we offer a range of stainless steel gratings, as well as floor gully solutions that can be mounted close to the wall with designer gratings in e.g. stainless steel, brass and matt black, which are appreciated by customers interested in interior design.
The pattern of the gratings is designed to be barefoot friendly and ensure a good flow. All have load class K3, i.e. have undergone tests which show that they can withstand a load of 300 kg. The new gratings are available in the dimensions Ø130, 150 and 179 mm, respectively, which fit Purus floor gullies in plastic, stainless steel or cast iron. The gratings are supplied with a locking device and screws, for those who wish such a function, where the black gratings are fitted with black screws. The grey colour corresponds to RAL 7040 and not only matches grey floors, but also marries well with other colours.
Lotta Gram, who is Sustainability Lead at Purus, says that they are continuously working to increase the proportion of recycled material in the product flora:
– Today’s customers more often take into account the product’s life cycle when making their choices. Then production, recycling rate and long service life come into play. If you are looking for durable materials, plastic is a really good alternative. On the one hand, it lasts a long time, and on the other hand, it is a material that can be recycled with good quality.
