ISH 2027 brings the world of building services technology together

7 Oct 2026

The demands placed on buildings continue to grow. Energy efficiency, digitalisation, comfort and the conservation of resources can only be achieved if heating, ventilation, plumbing and digital systems work together intelligently. From 15 to 19 March 2027 in Frankfurt am Main, ISH will demonstrate how this can lead to future-ready concepts for planning, installation, operation and production. Strong industry participation is already taking shape: more than 2,000 exhibitors are expected at ISH 2027, including all the market-leading companies.

Whether system planners, architects, skilled trades, industry, building operators or the housing sector, the world’s leading trade fair for HVAC + water offers relevant content for every target group and a comprehensive overview of the entire spectrum of building services technology. This makes ISH a key meeting place for professional exchange, innovation and new business contacts. “The high level of industry participation is a strong vote of confidence. The fact that the market-leading companies will be represented at ISH underlines the importance of the world’s leading trade fair as an international platform. This is where the relevant market players come together, new business relationships are formed and current developments can be experienced first-hand,” says Stefan Seitz, Director Brand Management ISH.

To help visitors find their way around the extensive range of products and services, ISH 2027 structures its offering into nine solution fields: “Bathrooms”, “Pools & Spas”, “Water-bearing Systems”, “Installation”, “Heat Generation”, “Indoor Air”, “Intelligent Building Management”, “Software Solutions” and “Sanitary & HVAC Production”. They are based on specific applications, making it easier for the various target groups to access the topics most relevant to them. At the same time, they highlight the connections between different areas of modern building services technology and cover the entire building lifecycle.

The strong market presence is also reflected in the exhibitor line-up. Companies that have already confirmed their participation include Belimo Automation, Bosch, Buderus, BWT Wassertechnik, Caleffi, Dendrit, Duravit, ebm-papst, Geberit, Giacomini, Grohe, Grundfos, Hansgrohe, Hottgenroth, Ideal Standard, Kampmann, Laufen, Reflex Winkelmann, REMS, Roca, Rothenberger, Siemens, Swegon, Toto, Trimble, Trox, Uponor, Vaillant, Viega, Viessmann, Villeroy & Boch, Wago, Weishaupt, Wilo, Wolf and Würth.

Holistic planning as the foundation for sustainable buildings

Today, specialist planners for building services engineering (TGA), engineering firms, architects and project developers coordinate far more than just individual trades. Energy supply, drinking water, ventilation, cooling, building automation and digital planning are interconnected from an early stage. Data centres, healthcare buildings and mixed-use developments add further requirements. ISH reflects these connections across several solution fields. “Heat Generation” in Halls 9.1, 10.1, 11.0, 12.0 and 12.1 ranges from heat pumps and hybrid systems to biomass, as well as local and district heating. “Indoor Air” in Halls 8.0 and 10.1 covers ventilation, air-conditioning and cooling solutions for different types of buildings. In Hall 11.1, “Intelligent Building Management” focuses on building automation, energy management and smart-building applications, while “Software Solutions” in Hall 8.0 brings together digital tools for planning, simulation, BIM and facility management. “Water-bearing Systems” in Halls 4.0, 4.2, 5.0, 9.0 and 9.1 complete the range.

Efficient installation is crucial to project success

Time and cost pressures, new heating technologies and increasing requirements for drinking-water hygiene and energy efficiency are shaping the day-to-day work of the skilled trades and specialist wholesalers. There is demand for solutions that make installation and maintenance easier and more efficient. In the “Installation” solution field in Hall 5.1, the focus is on tools, fastening systems, industrial prefabrication and solutions for storage, logistics and transport. “Heat Generation” provides an overview of current heating technologies, while “Water-bearing Systems” covers drinking-water installations, heating circuits and sustainable water management. In the “Bathrooms” solution field in Halls 2.0, 3.0, 3.1, 4.1, 4.2 and Forum, trade visitors can also discover the trends shaping the modern bathroom and the latest requirements in terms of design, comfort, hygiene and sustainability.

Architecture and design combine technology with quality of life

Architects, interior architects, bathroom planners, hospitality designers and project developers combine design aspirations with comfort, hygiene, accessibility and resource efficiency. This applies to private bathrooms as well as hotels, public sanitary facilities and healthcare and care facilities. The “Bathrooms” solution field in Halls 2.0, 3.0, 3.1, 4.1, 4.2 and Forum presents bathroom concepts for private, public and commercial applications. The focus is on design, accessibility, hygiene and sustainable spatial concepts. The “Pools & Spas” solution field in Hall 3.0 extends the range to applications for private homes, hotels, wellness facilities, municipal swimming pools, healthcare facilities and other leisure facilities. “Water-bearing Systems” complement the offering with approaches to the resource-efficient and hygienic use of water.

Economic efficiency extends beyond commissioning

The housing sector, facility managers and operators of hotels, hospitals, schools and municipal facilities need to ensure that buildings remain economical, energy-efficient and comfortable over the long term. Energy consumption and operating costs are just as important as maintenance, water quality and user comfort. At ISH, the relevant offering ranges from climate-friendly “Heat Generation” in Halls 9.1, 10.1, 11.0, 12.0 and 12.1 and solutions for air quality and air conditioning in the “Indoor Air” solution field in Halls 8.0 and 10.1 to “Intelligent Building Management” in Hall 11.1 for automation and energy management. “Software Solutions” in Hall 8.0 support building management, maintenance and planning for existing buildings, while “Water-bearing Systems” in Halls 4.0, 4.2 and 5.0 as well as 9.0 and 9.1 present solutions for drinking-water hygiene, drainage, process and rainwater use and heating circuits. This provides operators with a concentrated overview of technologies for efficient and future-ready building operation.

Innovation across the entire value chain

Manufacturers, OEMs, suppliers, wholesalers, and procurement and development departments are facing increasing demands in terms of quality, sustainability, resource efficiency and resilient supply chains. At the same time, innovations need to be brought to market more quickly. The “Sanitary & HVAC Production” solution field in Halls 4.1, 4.2, 5.0, 8.0, 9.0, 9.1, 10.1, 11.0 and 11.1 covers components, materials, production processes, engineering services and OEM solutions for sanitary, heating, air-conditioning and ventilation technology. One current focus is the “Drinking Water Compliance Forum” in Hall 4.1. Organised in cooperation with figawa, the German association for companies in the gas and water sector, it provides manufacturers, suppliers and OEMs with guidance on requirements for materials and products in contact with drinking water, testing procedures, certification and market access, and brings companies together with testing bodies, laboratories, certification organisations and consultants.

Explore topics, share knowledge

Gain a deeper understanding of current industry topics, put new developments into context and engage in discussion with one another: to this end, ISH 2027 offers a varied professional programme – in addition to the exhibition – featuring special zones, presentations, panel discussions and guided tours. These include the “Green Roofs & Facades” area, a new special show featuring bathroom trends, the Energy Consultants’ Day, the inaugural “Skilled Trades Meet Care” congress, the Hospitality Day and the Chimney Sweeps’ Day.

Service for visitors

The ticket shop for ISH 2027 and the ISH Contactor, the online exhibitor and product search, will open in October 2026. It will help trade visitors prepare for their visit and quickly find relevant exhibitors, brands, products and contacts.
