Statements on ISH 2021

Uwe Glock, President, Federation of the German Heating Industry

Uwe Glock, President, Federation of the German Heating Industry (BDH):

‘ISH is not just the world’s leading trade fair for highly efficient heating technology, energy-management systems and technical energy-storage solutions, it is also a source of inspiration for innovations and a driving force for the entire sanitation, heating and air-conditioning industry. ISH 2021 will be greatly influenced by the opportunities arising from the EU’s Green Deal climate strategy, the ambitious climate targets of which can be achieved using technological means. ISH 2021 will present solutions for the heating market, thus making ISH a showcase for the German heating industry and the foremost setting to experience the energy and heating revolution.’

‘ISH 2021 is essential because questions concerning room-air quality and health care in buildings must be discussed urgently and comprehensively within the framework of a direct dialogue with plant and building operators. The sector must take account of the need for information – and there is no better venue for this than ISH where demand and supply meet on an expert plane. In particular, the real-estate business will and must use ISH to find future-oriented solutions for safe building operation. The air-conditioning and ventilation industry looks forward to this dialogue.’

‘ISH is the most important venue for meeting all business partners and finding out at first-hand about new products, systems and innovations in the shortest possible time. In this concentrated form, ISH is a unique experience for discovering the latest trends in the sector and integrating them into our range.’

‘A meeting place for the industry as big as ISH 2021 is both a pleasure and integrative. Only at a fair can the live launch of products onto the market be experienced in such a vivid and emotional way. Moreover, making a presentation at the fair reinforces customer confidence and, therefore, brand loyalty. In this way, products and services are given personalities. And, last but not least, market monitoring is nowhere more effective than at a fair where every company is doing its best. Naturally, all of this is also possible with distancing and hygiene regulations. We are looking forward to ISH 2021 with growing anticipation!’

‘For the installation trade and the sector as a whole, ISH 2021 is THE sign of a return to growth and an indication of the expertise with respect to important, system-relevant social spheres that have become even more relevant during the crisis: climate protection, energy efficiency, hygiene, health. Who, if not our sector, can show how to handle this correctly and thus show how something like this works by holding the fair and arranging the exhibitor presentations in a responsible way.’

‘Given the highly dynamic global situation, the decision to take part in a trade fair is not an easy one at present. Nevertheless, we are confident that, in close cooperation with hygiene experts and the public-health authorities, Messe Frankfurt is pursuing a sustainable, flexible and adaptable concept, which means that it will be safe to visit the exhibition halls in March 2021.’

‘Now that we have had to get used to a variety of restrictions and uncertainties during the Corona time, we are looking forward optimistically to 2021 and hope that we will be able to take a leap forward into a new normality with ISH in the first quarter of 2021. We are looking forward to bringing life back to Hall 10 with our partners and friends, and to presenting high-tech for buildings, innovations and astonishing new products to trade visitors.’

‘We have to continue learning to live with the corona virus, and this includes finding our way back to a reasonable normality. Many subjects can be clarified via teleconferences. Nothing, however, can replace personal contacts. Therefore, it is perfectly natural for Grünbeck to take part in ISH 2021 with a stand design adapted to the current situation and in a significantly modified setting. We are particularly grateful to the organisers for making direct contacts between exhibitors and trade visitors possible despite the stricter hygiene measures required.’

Wolfgang Marzin, President and CEO, Messe Frankfurt

‘The current situation shows precisely how important real meetings between people actually are. ISH in March 2021 will be the first major sanitary and HVAC event to have been held since the outbreak of the coronavirus. After months of stoppage in the trade-fair business, now the industry has a significant need to see new products and to do business, but in particular to gain new contacts again in personal meetings. It is precisely in times like these that trade fairs are vital business platforms to boost the economy.’
