A hygienic supply of air in buildings reduces health risks and promotes staff efficiency and well-being. The subject of air supply also makes an important contribution to CO2-reduction and energy-saving goals. At the Indoor-Air Forum in Hall 8, insights into the latest themes and trends in the cooling, air-conditioning and ventilation sector will be offered at a variety of interesting panel discussions and lectures by the Association of Air-Conditioning and Ventilation in Buildings (FGK), the European Ventilation Industry Association (EVIA), the Federation of European Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Associations (REHVA), the Association of German Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Companies (VDKF) and the Air Handling Technology Section of the Federation of German Machine and Plant Manufacturers (VDMA ALT). Also in Hall 8, visitors will find a special exhibition on ventilation in schools, which is also the starting point for tours of the fair focusing on ventilation in educational institutes, and the home ventilation exhibition, which also offers the chance to exchange ideas and information at an information stand.
In addition, the VDKF is offering two guided and moderated tours of the trade fair to anyone interested in refrigeration and air conditioning technology. Further information is available here.

At ISH 2023, we cordially invite you to the Get-together on March 15, 2023, starting at 16:45 p.m. in the lounge area of the Indoor-Air hotspot (Hall 8.0 booth A19). The Association of Air-Conditioning and Ventilation in Buildings (Fachverband Gebäude-Klima e. V. – FGK), the Association of Manufacturers of Air Handling Units (Herstellerverband RLT-Geräte e. V.) and the VDMA Air Handling Technology (VDMA / Fachverband Allgemeine Lufttechnik) are looking forward to a personal exchange with you about current topics in refrigeration, air conditioning and ventilation technology.

For the fourth time, BTGA (The Federal German Industrial Association for Building Services and Technical Installations) and VDMA AMG (Building Automation and Controls Association in the Federation of German Machine and Plant Manufacturers) are jointly organizing a forum on building technology at ISH. From March 13 to 17, 2023, experts will provide information on future topics in technical building equipment and the real estate industry (ISH, Messe Frankfurt: Hall 10.3, Stand B21). The Building Technology Forum will be held as part of the Messe Frankfurt Hotspot Building Technology.
BAFA President Torsten Safarik will open the Building Technology Forum on Monday. That day's program of presentations will be devoted to "Best Practice" and "Research and Development." Wednesday morning is scheduled for the topic "Digitalization, Building Information Modeling (BIM)": Well-known experts will give presentations on the BIM method, whose importance for the industry continues to grow. On Thursday, the focus will be on "Indoor Environmental Quality" and "Hygiene vs. Energy Efficiency": the audience will be able to learn, for example, about the importance of indoor comfort and about drinking water hygiene.

The Wood Energy Forum in Hall 11.0 focuses on the great importance of wood as a resource for climate protection and supply security. This meeting place for experts has been organised by the BDH and ZVSHK associations in cooperation with other partners from the sector. Manufacturers of wood-fired central heating systems, individual fireplaces and systems for flue gas technology, as well as exhibitors from related branches of industry, are located in the immediate vicinity.

Start-up@ISH
For the third time in a row, the VdZ – the German Association for Energy Efficiency in Building Services, will present its Start-up@ISH Area in the exhibition halls of the Main metropolis.
From 13 to 17 March, the Start-up Area in Hall 11 will be a meeting place for undisguised pioneering spirit and entrepreneurial experience. At the start-ups' exhibition stands or during entertaining networking events, ideas will be exchanged and new approaches discussed, potentials for possible cooperation explored and the course set for breaking new ground together in the fields of building technology, sanitation and digital services for skilled trades businesses.
Guided Tours
The number of innovations and the variety of products at ISH is enormous. Free guided tours of the international meeting place for the sector offer orientation and professional exchange. The tours lead through selected exhibition stands and present the most exciting products and most interesting manufacturers from the point of view of the guides.
ISH kart #rennwertgerät – the great endurance test
At this year's ISH there will be a go-kart test. The highlight: The kart consists of 85% sanitary and heating materials. Currently, the kart is in the construction phase at Stefan Bergermann and will be completed by the ISH. At the ISH, the kart will be subjected to a three-day endurance test by the pit crew on a large go-kart track in Hall 11.1. The crew consists of OEG, Rems, Geberit, Aspen Pumps, WD40, Colons, die Jungheizer, SYR, Zentralverband SHK, Der Blaue, SHK Radio, Lustaufhandwerk, Heizungsbauer aus Leidenschaft, SHK Info and Marcrist and Clivet. From Tuesday to Thursday (14 - 16.3.) the kart will be tested on the racetrack and great interactive activities await the visitors. More information will follow soon.
