Cestaro Fonderie S.p.A. is a certified aluminum sand casting foundry in activity since 1963.
Dislocated in 3 different facilities, we are roughly 200 people.
Depending on customer’s requirements, we can provide raw castings or finished castings (machined, tested), following all production processes from pattern development to final shipment.
Our production activities are subdivided as below:
-the core shop (machines in cold box technology, 7 shooters with capacity up to 100 liters, computer surveillance system for sand mixing and core producing);
-the foundry (two melting furnaces capacity 5.000 tons/year; we produce the aluminum alloys internally in EN AC 42000 (A356.1), 42100 (A356.2), 42200 (A356.3), 43000 (A359), 43100 (A360), 43300 (B179) with or without T6 or T64, using only primary aluminum 99,8%; chemical analysis by spectrometers; several degassing stations; two automatic molding lines each with its automatic pouring oven, 1°line dimensions 620x790x500 mm (24,4x31,1x19,7 inches) with ideal weight/mould between 15-30Kg (26,5-66,1 lbs), capacity 70 mould/hour; 2°line dimensions 1100x1200x800 mm (43,3x47,2x31,5 inches) with ideal weight/mould between 50-200Kg (110,2-617,3 lbs) 20 moulds/hour; technical department offices (3D project development with Solidworks).
-the main shop (decoring stations, cutting (manual, robot), deburring, destructive/non destructive test laboratory (hardness, elongation, bursting), x-rays control room (Gilardoni), shot blasting machines, heat treatment with dedicated ovens T6 & T64, machining shop (15 machining centers brands Doosan, Makino, Mandelli, MCM)), welding (manual TIG, MIG, robot GMAW), metrological room with metrological control machines (brands Hexagon, Johansson Saphir, Dea Gamma), quality control, penetrant liquids station, plugging station, pressure test machines (water, air, helium(PINK)), warehouse and logistics). Anodization, Impregnation and Painting are outsourced to certified suppliers.
