With the ‘Watercom dinoTouch+’, the Hessian water treatment specialists from dinotec have developed a system that covers almost all requirements for a skimmer pool - as usual, it is ecological, economical and technically sophisticated. 

The smart pool and spa management system dinoTouch+ is the ‘brain’ of the compact system and controls the pool. In addition to attraction, light, filter and heating control, the dinoTouch+ reliably takes care of the hygiene parameters (pH, disinfection) and temperature as required. The system is also state of the art when it comes to service. Remote access via dinoRemote is included, which not only saves time and kilometres on the road, but also costs while increasing operational reliability.

The ProFil S filter container is the centrepiece of the ‘Watercom dinoTouch+’ filter system. The ‘ProFil S610’ is a high-quality GRP filter that is characterised by its extra-large filling opening. Anyone who has ever filled a filter will appreciate this. The ProFil S is equipped with a flow-optimised rod valve for convenient automatic backwashing. The speed of the associated Vitalia VS 1 filter circulation pump is variably adjustable. This not only saves energy but also optimises filtration and reduces operating noise.

Watercom also means that the compact system is designed by dinotec to be space-saving, clear, user-friendly, pre-assembled, pre-piped and pre-wired as a single unit. This saves time (approx. 4 - 6 h) and money during installation.

The ‘Watercom dinoTouch+’ is also categorised with the top grade A in terms of energy efficiency in accordance with the new DIN EN 17645 standard.

The smart dinoTouch+ has almost all the functions required in private pool construction integrated as standard. The superior control system also offers additional scope for expansion. Thanks to the bus technology, installation and commissioning of the dinoTouch+ are also completed quickly.

The pool owner is simply spoilt for choice: the dinoTouch+ is available for water treatment with chlorine or chlorine-free with active oxygen. With different dosing pumps or for use with inline electrolysis. And that's all there is to it! Measuring, regulating and dosing are also included, as well as filter/heating control, automatic backwashing, control of a multi-stage filter pump or frequency converters for energy saving, temperature, attraction and light control and, of course, the roller cover, etc. As more and more pools are being operated with flocculation and/or additive disinfection, the dinoTouch+ can also control up to 4 dosing applications.

Of course, customers can operate their pool remotely via smartphone or tablet using dinoRemote. This is convenient, increases operational safety and saves costs, as the specialist dealer can also log into the system and carry out a remote service after authorisation. For those who prefer the classic approach, the dinoTouch+ can be operated intuitively via the colour touchscreen.

No longer a question of if but when? Electrolysis technology for hotels

 
For hotel owners who are investing in a new swimming pool or already have one and are thinking about their technology, water treatment is an important issue. Questions such as: What is profitable for me? What is permitted? Which technology is safe? Which technology is environmentally friendly?   In the past, there were several sensible alternatives, depending on the size of the pool: chlorine from canisters, chlorine granulate or electrolysis systems etc. and the investor had to think through and calculate his decision carefully. Today, hardly any major analyses are necessary; it is obvious that electrolysis systems are the smartest investment. Especially against the background of the sharp rise in chlorine prices, the ROI calculation paints a clear picture. Leading manufacturers such as dinotec GmbH are offering ever more efficient and cost-effective systems.

 
In terms of ecology, the ‘chlorine production systems’ are also ahead. The disinfectant is produced on site from salt, water and electricity.  The MZE SMART, which has also been specially designed for the hotel sector, impresses with its compact design and low installation costs. The control intelligence and power supply unit are integrated into the wall mounting plate, eliminating the need for a separate control cabinet. As with all MZE systems from the Hessian manufacturer, the SMART series is also equipped with dinoRemote, i.e. the user not only has remote access to his system around the clock. It also sends important messages by e-mail to users who have been created so that they are informed about the system status at all times. This not only increases operational reliability but also reduces service costs.

 The efficiency of the MZE systems is high and the production of sodium hypochlorite takes place without salt being carried over into the pool water. Electrolysis systems save swimming pool owners from having to deal with disinfectants. They produce the required water care product directly on site in a cost-effective and uncomplicated way. All you need is salt, water and electricity. 

In times of rising chlorine prices, electrolysis has become considerably more attractive. The disinfectant solution is produced simply and inexpensively on site. Electrolysis also offers other convincing advantages. There is no need for storage and the unpleasant handling of chlorine canisters. The water treatment agent produced using the electrolysis process is fresh and therefore highly effective. Commercially available ‘canister chlorine’ is subject to a time-related deterioration and thus a loss of effectiveness, which in the final calculation is tantamount to a loss of money. Electrolysis also scores points ecologically. The ‘operating fluid’ salt is risk-free. There is no need to transport hazardous goods, as is the case with chlorine.

There is a wide range of electrolysis systems available. Caution is advised with all systems where salt is required in the pool water; appropriate structural consideration must be taken here, otherwise there is a risk of corrosion damage.
