A. u. K. Müller offers a backflow preventer type EA and EC, which is made entirely from plastic, developed according to DIN 1717.

Compared with components made of non-ferrous metals, plastics cannot lead to the release of lead into drinking water. The applied high-performance polymers are up to 100% BPA-free. The function of the backflow preventer has been DIN EN ISO 13959 certified. It is a particular concern of A. u. K. Müller to go beyond standards and legal requirements wherever possible and to avoid using plastics for drinking water and food applications as a precautionary measure whose manufacturing process requires bisphenol A.

 Applications for a backflow preventer:

No impermissible backflow of media into the drinking water system, no dry running, no cross flow, prevents the flowback of potable water and ensures the flow in only one direction in complex fluidic systems. Suitable for temperature ranges from 5°C – 60°C.

This black flow preventer has a compact design and with its female or male thread it is suitable for several connections and nominal sizes DN 8 – DN 10.
