The integrated function monitoring according to DIN EN 14175-6 offers maximum safety for laboratory personnel. If the value falls below the exhaust air setpoint to be regulated, an acoustic alarm is triggered and a visual alarm is displayed on the iCM500.

The iCM500-F operating mode (standard version) regulates a constant air velocity (e.g. v = 0.5 m/s) regardless of the sash position. This is either controlled by a fast running actuator with damper (fume cupboards are connected to a central exhaust air system) or by means of its own exhaust fan with frequency converter. Connection to the building management system is optionally via the Modbus RTU bus protocol.
