Purposes of processing the data and its legal basis to satisfy contractual requirements in accordance with Article 6 para. 1b GDPR

Cookies & Co.

We use the Usercentrics Consent Management platform to inform you about cookies and similar technologies on our applications and, if necessary, to request and document your consent to the setting of cookies.

For this purpose we process log file data, user agent (device, browser type, browser language, browser version, resolution) and consent data (consent yes/no, time stamp, data volume, data attributes, ControllerID, ProcessorID, ConsentID) via the Consent ManagementPlatform using Javascript. The data is stored in the European Union.
The data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required for the proof of the information provided and consent to the cookies and no legal storage obligations conflict with this.

You can permanently prevent the execution of the JavaScript at any time by making appropriate settings in your browser. However, this would also prevent us from informing you about cookies.

The following link will give you access to the Consent Management Platform to inform yourself about the cookies and, if desired, to adjust your consent.

Data will be used to enable your participation in this virtual event.

Activation your account

In order to use the Experience Platform each User must register with their personal business contact data and under the name of his/her company to activate the user account.

In order to create a user account for an exhibitor, Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH will store the exhibitor's contact data entered in the registration form for the Event as well as any product data of the exhibitor that they have shared in the Experience Platform. To activate the user account, the User will receive a system-generated code for initial registration.

Upon completion of the purchase of a visitor ticket, Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH will make the contact data stored in the Messe-Login/ MyAccount available in the Experience Platform for creating a user account for visitors. To activate the user account, the User will receive a system-generated code for initial registration.

Disabling your account

You can disable your account at any time using the ‘Delete Account button.

Video streaming

Video streaming can be used only by exhibitors and Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH as broadcaster. Visitors of the Event participate as viewers of the corresponding streaming channel. Participation in streaming content (presentations, workshops) is tracked anonymously for evaluation purposes.

Chat function accompanying streaming

All Users can exchange information in a parallel chat accompanying the video streaming. This is a non-closed communication. The respective contributions (posts) are visible to all video streaming participants.

Chat café

Chat cafés are open and closed chat rooms unrelated to specific occasions and can be used for discussions and open exchange within the Experience Platform. The open areas are accessible to all Users and are moderated. Access to the closed areas is possible only after invitation by other Users and they are intended for private exchange.

Video chats

All Users can schedule meetings with one another and then exchange information via an integrated chat. This can also be done via an integrated video telephony solution.

Polls, surveys

For official content of the Event (talks and presentations), the Experience Platform is equipped with a module that allows the moderator to conduct audience polls and surveys. Participation in polls or surveys is not mandatory.

If you allow us to access it, we use information contained in your LinkedIn, Facebook or other account to create your profile and to decide which other Users would be a good contact for you.

If you have given us your consent, we analyse the use of our platform in order to develop and optimise it. For this purpose we aggregate your usage data and that of other participants.  You are not directly identifiable with the data used for this purpose.

WhereBy

WhereBy (Myntgata 2 0151 Oslo, Norway ) stores the IP Address and Name of the Event Participant so that when they have multiple calls they only have to enter their name once. It also means the user only has to allow access to their microphone and camera only once.

Device information

Each time you use Grip we may automatically collect the following information: Technical information, including the type of mobile device you use (model, manufacture and library version), a unique device identifier (for example, your Device’s IMEI number, the MAC address of the Device’s wireless network interface), mobile network information, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile browser you use, time zone setting, (Device Information). We use this to better understand who uses Grip and quickly understand if bugs are related to specific phones.

Recipients of the data

Only those who absolutely need your data to satisfy our pre-contractual, contractual and legal obligations or to communicate with you will receive access to said data. These can include:    

  • Affiliates of the Messe Frankfurt Group
  • other users in order to be able to provide you with contacts within the framework of matchmaking,-
  • service providers supporting us as processors according to Article 28 GDPR.

This is in particular Intros.at Ltd (Grip) Spaces, Epworth House, 25 City Rd, London EC1Y 1AA, United Kingdom, as provider of this platform

Transmission to a third country

Your data will not be transferred to a third country.

Duration of storage

Your data will be stored until our contractual obligations have been met. In order for us to provide you with offers concerning our events and services, data concerning this shall be stored for 8 years at most. The data will be deleted earlier if your knowledge is no longer necessary or if the purpose ceases to exist. Besides this, legal retention periods exist for certain data. Of particular relevance here are the periods of ten years maximum according to commercial and tax law.

Your rights under the data privacy law

With respect to personal data concerning you, pursuant to GDPR you have the right to information according to Article 15, rectification according to Article 16, erasure according to Article 17, restriction of processing according to Article 18, and data portability according to Article 20.

According to Article 21 GDPR, at any time you can revoke consent given to us to process your personal data with effect for the future.  We maintain a revocation list so that an objection to the use of data for advertising purposes can be considered at any time.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory data protection authority according to Article 77 GDPR in conjunction with § 19 BDSG.

Automated decision-making

We do not use any automated decision-making to create or perform contractual relationships.

"Intelligent Matchmaking".

In order to provide you with suitable contacts to other participants, our platform offers "Intelligent Matchmaking". Users create an interest profile for themselves. Entries are done using the categories "I search" and "I offer" in industry-relevant taxonomy. The system uses a process supported by artificial intelligence to suggest contacts between these potential business partners based on information provided previously. The query catalogue for the interest profile can be edited when activating the user account or at any time thereafter.
