ALEX HX10 MS is designed for solar installations with collector areas up to 16 m². The factory-installed MiniSOL solar controller ensures fully automated operation of the glycol circulation pump. Moreover, MiniSOL features a built-in Wi-Fi modem, which, with the proper configuration, allows for remote access to the solar installation from anywhere.

ALEX HX10 MS is a "Plug & Play" solution, meaning that the system is ready to operate immediately after plugging the controller into an electrical outlet. The high-efficiency circulation pump from WILO or SHIMGE used in this unit meets the harderst requirements of the ErP directive for maximum electrical energy consumption. Additionally, ALEX HX10 has two-way pump group functionality by incorporating an additional air vent installed at the coil.

Effective air venting of the system

ALEX HX10 MS pump unit additionally includes a tee with an air vent designed based on an innovative concept. This feature ensures effective air venting of the solar installation during its initial start-up and maintenance checks. Air is captured within the heater coil, where the pipe diameter reduces the glycol flow velocity. As a result, air bubbles have a greater tendency to rise towards the vent.

The vent valve is constructed from brass and is thermally insulated. Venting the system is not only easily accessible but also convenient and quick to carry out.

Available variants

ALEX HX10 MS is offered in three variants regarding the type of circulating pump used: WILO, SHIMGE 6, and SHIMGE 8. In each variant, pump operation control is achieved through an electronic PWM2 signal. This allows for the utilization of advanced algorithms for managing solar system operations based on continuous measurements of temperature and flow in the working circuit. In the case of the pump set versions featuring SHIMGE pumps, the functionality is extended to allow compatibility with any solar controller, including older generation models that control the pump operation based on an "on/off" principle. SHIMGE pumps also have the option for manual adjustment of the pump operation using a designated button on the electronics housing.

The energy efficiency of the entire solar installation is among the highest of all heat sources. Typically, for every 100 W of heat produced, only 1-2 W of electrical energy is required.

 Solar installation under control

To monitor the operation of the installation, the signals displayed by the green and red LEDs on the controller can be utilized. Based on their pulsing, the operating states of the controller can be read, including flow rate and all states related to errors and irregularities in the functioning of the installation.

Full supervision of the solar installation's operation is possible through the MiniSOL mobile application. It provides a view of current operating states, including temperatures in the solar collectors, domestic water temperature in the heater, and flow rate in the installation. The app allows for changes to the factory-set temperature for heating domestic water, as well as enabling vacation mode. In the event of errors or irregularities in the operation of the installation, detailed information will be made available in the app.
